SaveArtSpace is proud to present Frames of Ego, a public art exhibition on bus shelter ad space in Miami, FL, starting October 17, 2025, curated by Ruth Burotte-Tamfee.

The Frames of Ego selected artist is Demetri Burke.

Exploring the relationship between artists and contemporary character design as a tool for storytelling, identity, and social commentary in urban spaces. An open interpretation where the artist immortalizes a culture, a memory, or bringing to life a community myth that is reflected within a character.

Opening October 17, 2025 SaveArtSpace will launch a public art installation for the selected artwork on bus shelter ad space in Miami, FL. The public art will be on view for at least four weeks.

Demetri Burke

Location: Biscayne Blvd & NE 21st St, Miami, FL

Demetri Burke is an Atlanta based artist with a primary focus in painting. He received his degree from Georgia State University with a BFA in Studio Art. His work has been shown nationally in galleries, museums, publications, and public spaces. Highlights include his 2022 solo exhibition– And Then We Heard the Thunder at Mint Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia– as well as having artwork published in New American Paintings South #155, being a featured illustrator in 2023’s The New Brownies Book: A Love Letter to Black Families by Karida L. Brown and Charly Palmer, an Adult Swim x Living Walls public artwork commission, and being a featured artist in the Artsy Post-War and Contemporary auction. Burke is also a 2023 Queer Art Fellow Alumni and previous 2023-2024 artist-in-residence for the Midtown Heart of the Arts Residency in Atlanta, Georgia. Recent acquisitions include his work being collected in Coca-Cola’s Fine Art Collection, featuring artists like Auguste Rodin and Andy Warhol. His artworks are such materials that are examinations of his own life, present and past, and repeat themselves in theme: Black like the skin and still like the clouds.

Born in 1998 in Queens, NY, and raised in Forest Park, GA.

Ruth Burotte is a Miami-based, Haitian American emerging artist whose multi-disciplinary practice spans character design, public art., and immersive installations. With a BFA in Art & Technology from New World School of the Arts at the University of Florida, Ruth skillfully blends traditional watercolor techniques with digital mediums, creating stylized graphic works that explore themes of identity, technology, and society.

Her background allows her to craft a variety of contemporary artworks, ranging from digital works to large-scale artistic installations. As of 2018, Ruth has become an integral part of Miami's local art scene, contributing to several local and public art projects that reflect her unique style and humor. Her work is driven by a desire to create underrepresented characters. often Black and female. subverting conventional archetypes while engaging with issues such as bias, mental health, and the impact of generational trauma. Ruth's ability to craft diverse, immersive narratives has positioned her as one of the new voices shaping the future of Miami's art landscape. Ruth also goes by her artist street name, "RUTAMFI" which is a play on words combining her full name. "Ruth Burotte-Tamfee" and Haitian Creole, which translates to "I'M FEMALE".
