SaveArtSpace is proud to present Looking In, a public art exhibition on billboard ad space in New York, NY, opening September 11, 2026, curated by Jessica Alazraki.
Looking In explores what it means to observe from a distance—through windows, thresholds, memories, cultures, and personal experiences. The exhibition invites artists to consider the spaces between public and private, insider and outsider, visibility and mystery.
Inspired in part by life in New York City, where people live in close proximity and glimpses into a neighbor's world are often unavoidable, the exhibition reflects on the ways looking can create curiosity, empathy, connection, and a sense of shared experience. While some works may reference literal windows, others may explore broader ideas of belonging, identity, community, and human connection.
Presented on billboards throughout the city, these images transform everyday public spaces into moments of reflection, inviting viewers to consider both what is revealed and what remains just beyond view.
We invite artists of all ages and talents to submit their artwork between June 15 and July 27, 2026 in order to be considered for the exhibition. This is an opportunity to have your work placed on billboard ad space in New York, NY.
The application fee is $35 for 1-3 images; each additional image carries a $10 fee. Fees support the production of the exhibition, including the purchase of bus shelter ad space. All fees paid to SaveArtSpace are 100% tax deductible donations.
Selected artists will be announced after August 10, 2026. Public art will be on view starting September 11, 2026 in New York, NY, and will be on view for at least one month.
