Selected Artists

Location: Union Ave & S 4th St, Brooklyn

I am self taught photographer, pro makeup artist and creative director based in Abuja, Nigeria. I am 22 years old from Enugu state, the south eastern part of Nigeria. Through her art I’ve been able to unlock deeper parts of myself and understand myself more. I love to photograph beautiful dark skin, queer souls and Afrocentric ideals. Photography has helped me realize my potential and aim to do better and be better. I am inspired by my environment, this means that my artistic practice is greatly inspired by my life, from the food I eat, the clothes I wear, the place's I’ve been to and the people i meet in those places. I take inspiration from all of this and apply it to my photography. Art is everything to me. Being able to practice photography helps me get through days of trying to survive in a violent homophobic country. When I’m shooting I forget her worries, depression and anxiety. The excitement keeps me going.

Colors is part a project created in 2021 called “project celebrating queers” started with the aim of highlighting, celebrating and documenting queer Nigerians living in Nigeria. Through photography and story telling For archival purposes and to celebrate these folx who rarely get celebrated while living in a country that hates them and kills them for merely existing.

Leo Crane L'amour rebelle

Location: Forsyth St & Division St, Manhattan

L’amour rebelle explores sexuality and conflict by reimagining Carmen from Georges Bizet’s classic opera. In this new project, Roy Joseph Butler plays Carmen, disassociating the character from their gender, race, place and time, leaving a 21st-century figure and the opera’s oiseau rebelle (rebel bird), two alter egos competing for love. This struggle leads to rebirth and a new future.

These charcoal drawings by Leo Crane are part of a wider web3 project, including an animated film, live opera performance, and a collection of unique vinyl records. It is a collaboration with composer Zachary Whitney and mezzosoprano Merav Eldan of Electrifying Opera, Israel. Leo and Roy are husbands and co-founders of creative studio Figuration. They use visual storytelling to process their own experiences and to find commonalities with those around him. A primary theme is the expression of Queer identities through the nude figure. They live and work in London, UK.

Yosnier i wish i could erase the memories we made together

Location: Morgan Ave & Harrison Pl, Brooklyn

Yosnier is [primarily] a digital artist based in Tampa, Florida. His work is mostly inspired by the varying degrees of love and growth through life experiences relating to that. He considers most of his work to be self portraits in some way even if the figures presented aren't directly him. Yosnier's work usually features pastel color palettes with thick black outlines, ultimately giving each piece a feeling similar to what someone would describe stained glass to be. His work has also been very reminiscent of tarot cards, thematically especially. Common motifs can be found throughout every piece, each with their own specific meaning, with many pieces of his identity scattered throughout each work. Yosnier enjoys tackling the many layers that contribute to his very existence, letting their run mind completely free, which is why you see an emphasis on certain colors or themes that aren't necessarily attributed to what society might find palatable for most perceived-men.

Curator

Location: 11th Ave & 45th St, Manhattan

“I love art.” It’s something you will hear FEWOCiOUS say often, and if there’s one thing you need to know about the 19-year-old rising star of the art world, that’s it. Representing snapshots of his memories and a mirror into his heart, his passion for creating shines through every piece, all of which exude vibrancy and symbolize the strength of feelingNow living in New York, FEWOCiOUS first started creating art at 13 in his hometown of Las Vegas. His foray into digital art was born as a refuge and escape for the young transgender artist. FEWOCiOUS sold his first painting at 17, and within a year of that, was able to move to Seattle to continue creating, through a series of successful NFT drops.

Most recently, FEWOCiOUS hosted his FewoWorld “paint drop” through Nifty Gateway, consisting of a limited 24-hour public sale of NFTs which generated a staggering $20mm. This drop attracted collectors from around the world and marked the third-highest auction in the history of the NFT marketplace. Prior to this, he was featured in Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Day Sale in London, auctioning off his first ever life-sized physical sculpture of a handmade and hand painted suit encased in an acrylic box. The sculpture was the genesis piece from the FEWO WORLD metaverse fashion and generative customizable character drop and sold for $2.85mm.

In June of 2021, he hosted a groundbreaking and record breaking auction with Christie’s Auction House in celebration of “Pride Month” which sold for $2.16mm. In March of 2021, he collaborated with RTFKT, the next-gen sneaker and collectible creators who merges the realities of fashion and gaming. In the auction each NFT came with a real-world pair of shoes or other fashion piece, generating over $3mm in sales within seven minutes.

FEWOCiOUS has amassed nearly $50mm in sales for his art thus far, solidifying his place among the most popular NFT artists today and arguably making him one of the most influential artists of this generation.
